WOWSERS! If you are into photography as much as was in my younger days, and still am,
you will find these camera references a must have for your personal
files. My Dad tought me how to develop film, make contact prints
and enlarge pics, and I think my first reflex was a Praktica,
followed by many others -- and I almost had my paws on a kewl
Bolex cine camera when studying in Spain! I still have
a Rollei and a Pentax, but since the advent of the digital Kodak DC50,
I haven't used a film camera since! The Nikon CoolPix is
my main camera now, with a Kodak
DC 3400 as an adjunct. And a couple flash cards
and a card reader sure beat stashing rolls of film in the refrigerator!
How kewl it would be to scan a lot of these
images, use some standard software to make your own personal computer
interactive relational database and burn
a CD or DVD with as many
photos of the makes and models and accompanying
data which can be found in these and other sources! The history
of photography is a remarkably fascinating
hobby to spend some quality time with.
This extremely well illustrated reference
of importance in the history of photography / cameras is a MUST HAVE for that class
term paper, for the resource library of
a camera collector / shop owner / appraiser / museum curator / student
or teacher researching the specialized
subject, the makers, their models and formats -- flee marketeer
/ yard sale hound / country
/ estate auction goer -- surprisingly,
some of these rare items may still be found at any of those venues
and you will then know exactly what you are looking at. The perfect
addition to your own personal vintage camera reference library
-- or as a gift for
a friend.
An
import in splendid condition.
