Exquisite handmade 925 silver filigree very fine Leaf HAIR PIN / PICK / STICK!
 
Measures: 6.3 cm (2 2/5 '') wide (at leaf span) x 15 cm (5 9/10'') long
functional length : 9 cm ( 3 1/2")
Made from : 925 silver, handmade filigree

This is a hand made hairpin from Central Java. 
Beautifully made, this decorative hairpin looks gorgeous with its intricate filigree work.   This beautiful ornamental leaf hairpin can be used for decorating hair buns, it is not strong enough to use to make the bun ( a single chopstick or fork would be best to make a bun, and this can be added to the bun for decoration and extra stability - see  my instructions in my Guides).     They give a classical elegance to your long hair when it is pinned up, and also make a wonderful gift for others.
 
This single pronged pin measures approx 6.3 cm in width of the sphere and 15 cm in length (usable length is 9 cm), weighing approx 10.6 g.   It is made from 925 silver, and made by the intricate filigree process.   This is high quality filigree of the finest workmanship, and you can see how painstaking the process is by some of the photos of the artisans at work.  These are listed as multiple items, so may differ slightly being handmade.
 
This product is made in Kote Gede, an old sector of Yogyakarta which is well known for its filigree tradition.  We buy direct from the makers as we used to live there and have many family connections – resulting in fantastic prices for you!
