Huge Carcharocles Megalodon fossil sharks tooth measuring a massive 130mm in length. This tooth has some damage but this is still a very nice example. Complete teeth of this size are very expensive and sell for hundreds of pounds. Megalodon is believed to have grown up to 42 feet in length and was one of the largest known predators to inhabit the sea. It dates from the Early Eocene-Pliocene periods(26-6 million years old). Provenance South Carolina, USA. Megalodon lived in warm seas. Old collection piece and choice specimen. Display stand included.
