Vintage JOHNSON SMITH CO. Practical Joke COLLAGE

JOHNSON SMITH CO. Practical Joke and Novelty COLLAGE, artist constructed in the early 1980's (though some of the packaging is much older).  Large 34"x24"x3" heavy-wood construction with dozens of various packagings/labels exclusively from novelty items procured directly by mail order from a Johnson Smith Co. catalog of the early 1980's, including the rather prominently featured clown mask wearing Pop-Out Eyeglasses and sporting an Electric Spinning Bow Tie (works), and whose "body" is represented by an actual Whoopee Cushion overhang (and note the Chinese Finger Trap "exclamation lines" crowning the clown's hair!)  Gag, magic, and novelty items represented include classics as well as some of the more scarcely seen offerings, such as the Mouth (Jew's) Harp, Squirting Toilet Seat, Talking Teeth, Pop-Up Tie, Magic Light Bulb, Hirum the Hilarious Hanky (1960's), X-Ray Spex (1960's), Joy Buzzer, Phony Fried Eggs, Itching Powder, Steel Ball & Tube, Sea Monkeys (envelope unopened and stapled to board), Squirting Nickel, Gorilla Suit, Magnetic Spunky Dogs, Bill Tube, Atomic Lamp (1950's), Black Eye Joke, 1000 Things You Can Get For Free, 7 Keys To Power (1950's), Hypo-Phony (1960), Foaming Sugar Joke, Rice Bowl, Mystic Smoke, Dribble Glass, Vac-U-Tex, Spooky Lite, Whoops!, How To Be A Ventriloquist, and lots more! (Note: actual items included on the artwork comprise the Whoopee Cushion, Itching Powder, Pop-Out Eyeglasses, Clown Mask, Chinese Finger Traps, Spinning Bow Tie. Everything else is just the packaging or artwork.)
