Personal Observations -- WOWSERS! this is another of the awesome railroad references
obtained from the estate of a northeastern U. S. A. train enthusiast
-- a small name label found on the top center page following
the right facing front inside cover inside front cover says "Charles M. Smith
* [address] and the hand inscribed L01057 which may refer to the catalog number of this volume
in his train reference library -- as you can see, above, it is
also hand signed / dated on the title page
not a whisper of rubbing are found on the
usually expected cover extremities, having been well protected
by the dust jacket for some fifty dreary blustery coolish wet New Jersey early summers
-- tight binding, immaculate inside, olde gold embossing bright
and shiny -- the dust jacket has some minor wrinkling on the
upper border, nothing to write home about after half a century
-- I only note one imperfection on page 19 -- there is a vertical
crinkle on the upper right corner with a small tear, probably
the result of misplacement on the book shelf. This awesome book
is a MUST
HAVE for the reference library of anyone
with an interest in railroadiana
/ trains -- or as a gift for a railroading
friend
